Brand

Jang is not just food — it is people and time.

We blend the hands of tradition with the sensibilities of today, bringing culture to tables around the world.

Brand Story

Bongsook began at a family’s jangdokdae—a traditional Korean fermentation jar.
In Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, a mother started making gochujang by hand to feed her children healthy food.
That heartfelt flavor, passed down through generations, deepened in taste and philosophy, and eventually emerged into the world under the name “Bongsook”, carried by the hands of the fourth generation.

Like fermentation inside a jangdok, Bongsook is a brand born of time and care.
It’s not just about sauce—it’s a vessel of Korean sentiment and stories.

Brand Philosophy

The Three Core Values We Uphold at Bongsook

Meaning Behind the Brand Name & Symbol

The name “Bongsook” is a combination of characters from the names of the founders’ parents.
It carries the warmth of a mother’s touch, the generosity of family, and the comfort of a home-cooked meal.

The brand symbol is inspired by the shape of a traditional jangdok (fermentation jar), filled with the name “Bongsook.”
It blends tradition and modern aesthetics, reflecting our respect for heritage and our contemporary sensibility.
